can anyone recommend a 4 channel amp to run two sets of alpine type r speakers thats not more than £200
Id go for a used genesis profile 4- but depends on what your speaker specs are. would bridge to run the front two and leave back ones running off headunit.
thing is though i cant run the rears off the standard headunit, they have too be amped too work.
ill have a look on ebay for all teh above, everything else i have is alpine so sticking with them makes sense.

Well if they fit in an A4 they must be about 120w max, so about 40wrms. I can't remember the last new amp I bought. As long as it's a well designed amp from a quality manufacturer then they seem to last forever.
