I was pretty sure that it fit till i messaged the guy selling it and he said it would fit because it is 3 spoke?

Yes a 3 spoke wheel will fit your car, however it needs a 3 spoke airbag.

If you have a 3dr 8P, then no, as 3dr 04 cars have a single stage airbag, whereas the newer shield styled airbags are dual stage, if its a 5dr then yes will fit if it has the correct airbag.

Lol Nigel has his hands full....

To reiterate what Nigel was saying, your cars (both of you) can fit 3 spoke steering wheels... But you will also need to buy the airbags to match. The airbag from a 4 spoke wheel will not fit a 3 spoke wheel as it has different cutouts due to the spokes!

Zak as you have a 5 door you would have a 'dual stage' airbag setup so yes you can fit it without issues although you may need to change the steering control module to allow the mf buttons to work... Is your car an auto or manual? If auto do you have flappy paddles?

audi mafia is your car a 3 or 5 door? If its a 3 dr as its from 2004 it will have a single stage airbag which basically means if you fit the shield shape airbag to your car (yes it's still physically possible) the airbag itself probably won't work and won't fire when you need it. If its a 5 door then you have nothing to worry about and you would be in the same boat as Zak.

this is what a single stage wheel looks like, if you already have this you can't fit the newer type wheels

Hi Ash, thanks for that and also NHN. I have the 3dr and my wheel looks same as the one on the photo but the older version. Where can i order one like that on the picture without needing to change airbag?

I have this exact wheel on my 05 A3 but with the flappy paddles, so your saying I won't be able to remove this and add a new style wheel? Sorry I'm abit useless with things like this ha

No no hes not saying that, you can add new style wheel as long as you have the right airbag for it. What hes saying that If you want to get new style wheel to your car then the airbag of this wheel wont fit the newer style wheel.
