Hi guys i currently coupe 225...
Wonder if people can help...just about to spend money on modding and a tuning specialist in Cornwall said your wasting your money.. Sell it and buy the 3.2 v6... It will eat the 225 for breakfast.....
I wanted to seek you guys advise being many if you have the knowledge and experience if maybe owning both...

On paper there's about 0.5 seconds in it 0-60, 25bhp difference , 31 lbs pf torque and only a difference of 1mile per gallon fuel economy...

Doesn't seem a huge amount in it, yet the mechanic said that the v6 was designed to be the ultimate race version and you'd do far better to get one...

Wondered if I could have your opinions please before I go ahead and splash out..

Much appreciated and very sorry if this is a repeat post..

3.2 v6 is NA, so will be allot more expensive to tune, the 225 is turbo & 1.8T is highly tunable for allot less money, so I'm not sure that advice was the best, ask Badger on here, he's the 1.8T specialist tbh & can tune it into a monster :)

    3.2 v6......ultimate race version?! Lol

The problem with the 3.2 is that it's slow and can't easily be tuned, yes it may be a touch faster than yours as standard but that's as far as it goes, just a remap on yours and it would be clearly the more potent engine and better on fuel to boot

Would have thought the V6 is heavier engine, yes you could turbo/supercharge it but bang for bucks the 1.8 is much better on your pocket.

225 all day long, even a stage 1 remap would give it the edge.the only thing the v6 eats for breakfast is fuel:arco:
