Hey guys!
Some time ago I wrote about that deep noise in my b7 3.0 tdi while idling!
In meantime I had it checked and all looks fine... engine itself works like a charm, it has new injectors also... mounts look ok so engine doesn't shake and stuff.
So I just went a step further to check the most logical thing and when you have a deep noise first thing that comes in mind is ofc exhaust.
My car has no DPF filter... never had it cause in 2005 it was optional.
So I did put my ears on the exhaust and the rumble was ofc comming out of it.
I also have no catalytic converters but sound is the some with or without them!
Funny thing is that sometimes it gets abit less bassy ... usualy when the car warms up really god
While driving it's still pretty quiet cause It still has rear mufflers
Is it normal to sound that deep on idle?
I know it's maybe a stupid question but its driving me crazy 4 past couple months...
I've heard some wideos on youtube with my headphones on but all were straightpiped and ofc the sounded load like hell... As I said my has no dpf no cats but rear muflers are still there so it's not that loud while driving but it does sound deep as a woofer
