Hey guys, I'm looking to move on from my A4 1.8t and the A5 3.0 Tdi is catching the eye :). I could do with some help on the differences between the sport and the s line? I'm looking at models around 08 and 10 plate.

Cheers

I read somewhere that the s line didn't appear on the A5 till 09 and the only differences i can see is the s line stamp on the seats and the little side skirt trim.

I can't see anything else but was unsure

S-Line is really for the badge and seats.

I wouldn't get hung up on that, I got the sport and absolutely love it!

If I wanted to have a "sportier" look I'd look for some subtle skirts and trim.

Mine had Sports Suspension, I'd have been surprised if that differs from S-Line, why would they complicate it? from Standard Sport and S-Line? Maybe?

The sports suspension (standard on the sport) is 20mm lower than the standard A5 setup.
On the S-line it comes as standard with the sports suspension OR you could upspec to the optional S-line suspension (free I think, but you had to spec it) which was 30mm lower than standard.
Most S-line's have the standard -20mm.

You can check on your production label in the boot, 1BE is -20mm, 1BV is -30mm.

Other changes on the sport/s-line are as mentioned above. Mainly aesthetic, its the S-line bumpers and side blades and the roof liner colour.
