been a busy morning, i had some fault codes on my car and i thought i should work through them
First off was 2x glow plugs were showing faults so i changed all 6, some of them were heavily blackened, think i found the 2 suspect ones.
Ran the car for a while, no fault codes showing yet, only took me about an hour to change them
Also, while under the bonnet, thought i would clean out the air intake, i am so glad i did, there was lots of leaves and dirt clogged in the intake pipe from the grille!! i have a photo as i was shocked.
Next the hood, top frame sensor was faulty. Looked on-line and they released a revised potentiometer for the cabrio, (£65 for something so small!!) however the hood works without any hesitation, so worth it!!
Only a couple more to sort out, a PDC and alarm module faults, but i will get to them.
Pleased these jobs are done now
hopefully should get a few more MPG now, as i was only getting an average of 36mpg on a motorway run!!
