3.0 TDI Chain Rattle?

Hi guys just noticed this sound on startup yesterday and this morning, however I haven't been able to replicate again. Just wanted to gather some opinions. The car is an Audi A5 engine code capa but posting in these forums as it's more active.

Also is it possible to measure chain stretch with VCDS?

that unfortunately does sound like chain rattle. have you changed the oil to see if new oil helps it

I tend to agree, I'm not getting obvious chain noises from that clip

I have heard mine rattle every now and then for a second when I start mine. It does it very intermittently maybe once a month if that. Usually when the car hasn't been used for a while. Mine has done 111K miles how many miles has your car done ?
I am not worried by it, I first noticed it on mine about 2 years ago. And it's not got any worse.
I can hear something on that video in the first second or so as the car starts but after that it just sounds like injectors.

Thanks for the reply guys, I change the oil every 10k miles, now at 148k. I must say it does sound louder than my last A5 which was at 130K (CCWA) before it got stolen.
