Hi I'm averaging 26mpg which seems really poo to me, I'm not overly bothered as I only drive the car on the weekend but I'm concerned it may be a sign I have an underlying issue. I had the car scanned and was told the maf figure look a little off but in there opinion it wasn't enough to cause issue or justify the cost of replacement, could this be the reason for the poor mpg? The performance can also be a little hit and miss, sometimes its seems to be quite responsive and other it feels lethargic.
Car is 3.0tdi trip auto quattro and has covered 116,000

Mpg looks normal . I can do 40 on long motorways and 18-25 short city trips depending on temperature outside

My C6 would average 30, similar mileage, but was always smooth
