210 - 225 bhp

Hi all,

I have a 210 bhp S3 and was wondering how easy it is to increase it to 225. Does my car have the 225 chip already and is just restricted some way?

Can this be done at the dealer? Has anyone had it done and is there any point - Is the power much different?

Or should I go straight for the 270 bhp?

I have (had /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif ) a 210 S3 and a 225 TT and there's no discernable difference between the two.

Go straight for the 270bhp and *smile* /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

get 270bhp. allow having 225bhp u'll wont notice the difference.

It will cost you more to get 225 than it would 270, because all of the chips produced by tuners are around the 270 mark and it would be a custom one needed to acheive 225. Another possibility may exsist in that a later ECU could be fitted, but at the price these are at it would again work out more expensive than a standard aftermarket chip.

Go get some serious power under that right foot...270 it is.

rich do you by any chance have a silver s3, with a liscence plate very similar to your avatar name?..if so think i spotted ya in the mailbox car park!

No wasn't me. I have a Ming Blue S3. Wouldn't mind a number plate like that though!
