Can it be done?
The answer is yes
Good work mate!
Seen a few conversions now and they do look good.
However, you seem to be missing some side indicators!
Nobody needs to know where I'm going anyway lol. Has there been other people done the same conversion?
That looks spot on. :icon_thumright:
Yes, seen a couple.
IIrc there was one on fleabay a while ago
What you gonna do about your sides come mot time?
No side indicators = fail
There's ways and means of getting round no side reps at the mot (speak to them nicely)
Was a total head ache to do, required new radiator frame, bumper support altered, the new wings had to be altered (just as luck would have it I'm a blacksmith/welder) to make them fit the old type inner wings at the top, I'm told Audi changed the chassis with the new models in order to fit the new engines?
Sounds like a lot of work!
But the end result is defo worth it!
I was very close to throwing in the towel and giving up, glad I kept going now I see my work paid off.
It sound like it was even work that I originally thought! Well done
thats looks sooo nice! great work!!
That looks awesome mate, top job!
Any plans for a re-trim Kenzie or xenons? I heard you won at UD?
I'm not sure if the xenons would go on my car with the wiring mate would they? I've got a few plans, just need to build cash back up first. Yeah I came 2nd at ud mate.
I prefer the pre 2009 front ends, but nice work
Pm 'NHN' he'll be able to tell you.... xenons will give it a meaner look.
yeah a full xenon retrofit is compatible with your car, nice work odd colour though i like it
There supposed to be in the Wing mirrors....
If we could get a D.I.Y. on these Threads.....that would be great!!! :icon_thumright:
That is why I said he was missing them

I'm going to sell mine, buy an 8L just so I can have that bumper in my life. It makes me tingle.
Get a re-trim instead Kenzie
May have something to report sooner than expected dude

Thanks for the pics mate. As for having the money, I'm now struggling to buy my dad a birthday card today due to it cleaning me out, I sh*t you not. Roll on pay day!
Is it akoya or light blue? I was there and it looked hard to tell under those lights!!
It isn't akoya..
Liquid Blue mate.
does anyone have any close ups of kenzie's motor, specifically under the hood, im trying to see whats involved in getting the wings to fit, cheers
looks a great look, im sorry to be a copy cat but im about to do the same.
can you just anwser these things im having prob finding out,
1,do you have to do the wings if your doing the 09 bumper or did you do them just for the 09 look.
2,which head light have you got are they 54 plate or did you change to later
3the bonnet, i was told that it needs to be changed, my a3 is a 53 reg, (is it wings and bonnet together)
help please mate
1 yes otherwise you will need to cut to fit the new lights
2they are a facelift set
3yes you require a new bonnet
all 3 need to be changed, you cant mix & match any of the bits
my a3 is a 53reg, want to go for the later front end, 09 might be a lot of work, is it any easyer with the 06-08 front end?
