I've been told by audi and an independent garage that the rear anti vibration mount on the prop shaft of my A3 is split. Audi quoted £1600 for a whole new prop shaft (hence taking it to an independent) even though it is only the anti vibration mount that is knackered? The car has only done 50k miles ***!
I've done loads of reading and there seems to be a part for the model up to 2007 but not for the 2009 model? Is this right? Has anyone else had this problem? Apparently the mount bolts onto the shaft anyway so I don't understand why you can't buy the part?
Any advice would be great, can't afford a whole new prop shaft!
