Having a really weird issue with my a3, not sure what to do about it.

Basically what is happening is whenever I'm having to be in first gear (this is automatic remember) and let off the gas, the RPM will hang at where it was when I let off the gas, judder, then go back down. It makes for a somewhat violent shake, and slows the car down. It almost feels like someone is quickly tapping a break. no, the hand break is not on. It will also do something similar, but less of an extent, in 2nd gear.

How I would replicate this issue: TLDR: first and 2nd gear judder and slow the car down when pressing the gas and coasting
1.) manually put it into first gear using shift mode next to drive mode
2.) go something like 5-10MPH, then let off gas
3.) car will lurch backwards, like its being stopped if that makes sense
4.) needle on the tach goes up and down, then goes down normally like it should
