    Greetings all

1st post and here goes, off to europe soon in my A4 B6 2004 fitted with factory Xenon's, despite much trawling the internet i can't find an answer on how to adjust them, there is no lever in the back of the headlights having had both of them out to investigate!! i have tried to communicate with them using vcds but vcds can't find the controller.

Is it really good old fashoned tape??? I am not keen on that as last time i taped a plastice headlight the glue of the tape (electrical) ate into the headlight plastic.

    Thanks

I have factory xenon on my b6.
The dealer told me it was a workshop before I went and again on return.
But a knowledgeable parts man in the same dealer sold me plastic beam Benders. If you need the part number give me a shout.
I have used these for Le Man trip for a number of years with no problems.

My understanding is that you take the access cap off the back, and there's a lever inside there which you move up (or down?) and that will adjust the internals of the light.

Halogens lights are the only lights requiring beam benders I think.

As the OP, dont think there is a lever with the b6. I was sold my clip-on plastic lens as specific to xenon.

This is for Gas Discharge lights on UK models up till October 2004.

Maybe it's wrong? Elsawin is pretty good as a whole.

I may have been sold a pup.
When I get a bit of time I'll pop a light out and have a look.

Definately no levers on my lights, so looks like a trip to the dealer (rather not) or a headlamp protectors with beam benders maybe???

    cheers

    I've had 2 B6 S4s, the 2003 one had the lever but the 2004 one didn't.

£63 for the stick on beam benders??

Halfords do them that do the same job surely? There's a diagram on Elsawin that shows you where to place them if you need to see it.
