I've gone and copied the advert from my PistonHeads advert, so some of this you probably already know, but here goes :)

2001 Dolphin Grey Audi S3. I purchased the car just over 4 years ago with 47,000 miles on the clock and it has been my pride and joy since then. The car now sits with 99,800 miles on the clock and lives in my garage at home.

This is an early facelift model with the AMK engine. This means insurance group 17 (on the old style system) rather than the 18 of the newer BAM engine cars. From the factory this car had 210bhp, but is the same specification as the later engine except for a different map.

The standard equipment list for the S3 is fairly comprehensive:
    • Haldex 4 Wheel Drive
    • Electrically adjustable leather Recaro seats with lumbar support
    • Xenon headlights
    • Multi-function trip computer
    • Digital automatic climate control (recently regassed)
    • ESP stability program including traction control
    • 6-speed manual gearbox
    • 17" Avus alloy wheels
    • Remote central locking with alarm and immobiliser
    • Folding rear seats (60/40)
    • Electric windows
    • Electric heated mirrors
    • Front fog lights
This car had an almost full complement of factory options added:
    • Heated seats
    • Electric sunroof
    • Bose speaker system
    • Symphony double din head unit (CD and Cassette in dash)
    • Cruise control
    • Chrome wing mirror casings (genuine!)
    • Rear parking sensors
    • Centre arm rest
During my ownership I have had a full Bluetooth system (xcarlink) fitted which allows for full telephone functionality and music streaming. The car has a Milltek cat-back exhaust which sounds fantastic, Forge 007p diverter valve, Badger5 turbo intake pipe with Jetex filter, N249 valve bypass and R-Tech stage 1 remap taking power to around 250bhp and 250lb/ft torque with a very smooth curve. The car has poly bushes all round, including engine and steering mounts and the anti-roll bars have been replaced with uprated H&R items.

I have spent a lot of time and money on the brakes of this car, as the standard fit items were simply not up to the task. The system now runs 4-piston mono-block Brembo calipers up front with custom carriers and custom Goodridge braided hoses. I use Ferodo DS2500 pads and EBC Ultimax slotted disks with Castrol SRF fluid. All of the consumable items in the brake system were replaced in November 2011 (pads, disks, fluid). This system is virtually immune to brake fade!

The car has had regular geo checks and is running recent Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyres all round with loads of tread left. The car is only ever run on Shell V-Power fuel and I religiously warm up and cool down the car fully when used.

There is a full service history with Audi and Audi specialist garages only. The car uses long-life servicing which means it can go up to 20,000 miles between services. I have personally never left it that long and ensure that servicing is carried out much more frequently. The most recent service was performed at 96,000 miles and included a Haldex service as well. At the previous service I had the gearbox oil, and all differential oils replaced. The injectors and fuel pressure regulator were recently cleaned in an ultrasonic bath. Front and rear springs have been replaced within the last 12 months. The battery was replaced within the last year with a Bosch item. Any parts required during my ownership have only ever been OE sourced or better. It really has been treated exceptionally!

The MOT runs until Feb 2013 and passed its last test without a single advisory. I have a large folder of invoices and previous MOTs, if wanted.

The condition of the car aesthetically, has been complimented on many occasions. The car is fully HPI clear and I welcome any inspection.

This car drives superbly and I will be very sad to see it go! Test drives are fine, provided you bring proof of fully comprehensive insurance; otherwise I am happy to take anyone out for a demonstration.

Please feel free to get in touch with any questions!
