you are allowed to cheat with a haynes manual

    water pump bolts
    stat housing bolts
    pas pump pulley bolts
    crank pulley bolts
    cambelt damper bolts
    lever bolts
tensioner roller and guide roller bolts
    ribbed belt tensioner bolts
    ribbed belt guide pulley bolts

I tend to go with "tight" for everything bar the crank pulley.

    It goes to VFT.

On a serious note, its not in the A4 haynes as it doesnt cover the V6. I'll have a look on etka in a bit and see if its in there.

crank pulley bolts should only be 20nm or so! they dont need to be he-man spec

ekta should only show parts etc

i need elsawin, which i think my brother downloaded for me, but hes in hospital at the mo.

no one else have elsawin here?

i have both, just used the wrong name.

The big bolt in the middle of the crank pulley is normally done up to eleventy-billion NM + 180degrees for good measure, but maybe you havent removed that?

nah, i didnt need to remove that (thank god)

the one on the front of the 928 was 290nm, 27mm with a breaker bar (that flexed at least 30*) with a 4ft section of exhaust for extra leverage

i had to have the dogs bed on the wings with a load of blankets in case something gave way. it made an almighty crack when it eventually came undone. i need a buy a new torque wrench to get it done up again properly

as for the audi, any info anyone can give would be great. im hoping to reassemble it all tonight

Etka doesnt provide a big list, just tells you them as you go thru the procedures:

    Tightening torques

    Toothed belt sprocket to camshaft
    55 Nm
    Idler wheel
    45 Nm
    Toothed belt tensioning roller
    20 Nm
    Pulley to crankshaft
    20 Nm
    Toothed belt tensioning element
    10 Nm
    Central bolt 1) to crankshaft
    200 Nm + 180°2)

Thats some of them, i cant be arsed raking out any more, theres simply too many pages.
