Got the drift VAG (AKA Arnold) out on his maiden voyage this weekend...

On first test drive it shortly developed a misfire once up to temp... We've chucked a set of leads at it and still same problem.

Plugs looked ok but we'll chuck some plugs at it Saturday morning and will have some coil packs on standby also... We're driving down Saturday arvo and hope to have the car on track on Sunday though!

Any 2.8 gurus out there got any other bright ideas of something we might be missing?.. Be gutted if we drive all the way there just to still have a misfire

yeh, my dads 1.8T had a horrible missfire i chased for a while. It drove fine at low throttle but open it up and it would missfire and hesitate and **** around before finally picking up its heels and getting on with it.

Replaced coils, plugs etc etc, even did a TFSI conversion trying to cure it. Then realised there was a split hose on the inlet manifold that was creating a boost leak.

And no, not a peep from VCDS.
