My A4 Cab is on 122k, the timing belt is due at 140k.. I'm about to change the oil, should I check the diesel pump timing as well?

Can you check it FOC? If not I wouldn't bother as it will be upset when you have the timing belt done anyway, unless you've any reason to think it's out.

I'm changing the oil myself and I have VCDS so can do the check..

I'm just not sure if it's necessary - I've heard that the timing drifts a bit as the belts stretch, but I don't know if it's worth worrying about and I'll only make it worse if I try tinkering with it.
