See Here, Price is £599 Also. Looks Awesome.

The standard Figures are also higher than shown as Per Usual.

    BHP Plot

    Torque Plot

Dave, How much difference would this add onto insurance? Approx on an A3 of course

Impressive gains from just a 'chip' and with that torque curve, traction should be fun around the 2.5-3.0k rpm mark /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hehehe Blondy knew you'd come up with something like that....

And yes the gains are brilliant, what does the 1.8T get from the 225? 270ish? So it would work out about right.

I would imagine the 2.0T FSI isn't far off the 225 1.8T. being a bigger engine and all, there wouldn't be much in it me thinks.

    Theres always one...

Yep a chipped 225 nomrally makes around 275bhp. So those graphs look about right, the did at 2600 looks a bit odd though

Thanks for this info Dave - v interesting.

Now for a daft question: why do the two plots on the torque graph not start in the same place? Looks like the chipped one has lost some of its sub-2k rpm torque?

looks good. i spoke to ed at amd on saturday and he said the gti can be chipped to about 260ish so i guess there the same engine??

1.8t engine will produce about 260 at a push from a remap..people that say more just have optimistic rollers.

I would expect the 2.0T to do very well tbh, we'll see.

May I offer an answer here? I have used quite a few rolling roads/dyno's, The operator normally gets the dyno rolling at a lowish speed, then when he wants to record a "run" he presses a button on a held hand controller, and plants the accelerator at the same time, normally differences on the plot at the start of the run are caused by slightly different co-ordination between pressing the button and the accelerator
