2.0T flat spot, helf needed?

    Hi guys,

    I have a 2005 2.0T Quattro that has developed a flat sopt at around 4500rpm. I haven't had a chance to get fault codes checked yet. I have had a quick look and found that each coil pack pushed back in bit but thats all that i could see. Has anyone had this problem? Is there anything else i should check?

    Hi mate, check the diverter valve, when worn they tend not to hold boost. But it will probably bring up a fault code aswell.
    Mine was the same. Or possibly check the condition of the plugs.

    Thanks craigcull i'll have a look at the diverted valve and see what condition it's in. I'll also go and see how much a new one is.

    the DV dont always cause a light on the dash
    and the car would feel flat as **** not just at 4500 rpm
    but worth checking

    mine didnt bring the light on, but still logged a code.

    Hi guys,Took the diverter valve out last night and the diaphragm is torn! I have ordered one for £52 and it's coming tomorrow. I'm still going to check for fault codes this weekend when I can get access to my father inlaws computer.

    I am tempted to look at mine sooner rather than later as my 2.0t quattro seems a little low on grunt.
    My old 1.8T Passat seemed quicker.
    How long a job is it , to take out and put back.

    I have been using the car for a few days now and there is no flat spot anymore. I stills feel not as quick as it did so i have now check for fault codes and this is what i've got.
