Thinking of selling my a3 tdi. Everything keeps breaking, its at 100k miles now, its dsg so that will break at some point, it leaks coolant sometimes, and I was thinking of spending £500 upgrading the headlights from the useless "well done" ones to proper bi-xenon ones.
Then I thought...why am I spending 1/4 of the cars value on a car that keeps breaking? Just last week the drivers door stopped working... £150 later...
So I have been looking round and really fancy another 2.0 TFSI, preferably an 8P3 but would take a low mileage 8P2.
Questions:
1. Do these need fuel pumps replacing to remap properly? Do you just buy internals or the full £800 unit from APR etc?
2. A remap and above fuel pump, will this be fine on s-tronic?
3. Do these suffer from the issues that the 1.8tFSI does with regard to piston rings failing?
Thanks!
