2.0 TFSI Oil pick up

Do these suffer the same issues as the 1.8t units?

I'm changing the oil soon so wondering if it'll be worth while dropping the sump at the same time?

Yes they have been known to block up.

Can they be cleaned at all or just replacement?

I guess they could be cleaned, but they just get replaced i don't think they cost a lot

Yes they do block up and especially if they have been on the long life service interval which makes a nice thick sludge at the bottom end, I had mine done in March this year when I had mine serviced as a preventative item just in case.

Get it done, I think the pipe's are only about £25-£30....

I'd get a new pipe like others have said. Need to get mine done soon.
