    Hi,

Over the last couple of days i have noticed that my clutch will sometimes slip in 5th gear with my foot right down, car has 90k so to be expected i guess.
I plan on remapping the car and deleting the EGR/DPF in the future, so what uprated clutch would you recommend?

Also i know this has a DMF, when upgrading the clutch do people stick with a DMF or go to a SMF? Would this cause any running issues?

Also, is this a job my local indy garage can do or should it be sent to an Audi specialist?

    Thanks

My understanding is smf tends to add more vibration, & a friend of mine opted for a replacement with stock dmf iirc & hasnt had an issue since, this was on an S3 8P tbh but same principle I should think applies, ideally ask a professional tuner, Unicorn do a fair bit of dpf/egr removals & would be best to ask about these things, they're sponsors so have a chat with Rick.

Cheers, can you recommend where to get an uprated clutch from, and how can i tell whether the DMF needs replacing? Or should this be done at the same time anyway to prevent further work in the future?

Funny enough, audi offered my mate the 2 options for the fly wheel, so maybe ask if they do the same for your engine/gearbox.

As for clutch, I wouldnt know tbh, have a read about & maybe ask tuning companies what they would suggest.

Thanks, I don't really want to use Audi if i don't have to, knowing their labour costs i will be looking at a massive sum!

Darkside developments have a few different kits on offer so i will probably use them for the parts.

How does the clutch/flywheel get replaced? Is it an engine out job or can the work be done in situ or by removing the box only?

    Great stuff will do!

One last thing, where can i find my engine code? Can you find it by searching using the number plate, or will it be on a sticker in the bay somewhere?

    Its a 56 plate 2.0 tdi s-line 170 if that helps...
