2.0 TDI Oil Pump Failure?

Hi all

Basiclly going to be buying my first Audi soon, its a 2.0 TDi 170 Quattro S Line, with roughly 40k on it

Ive been reading some horror stories about the oil pump failure/balance crank?

Is there anyone on here that can tell me if i will be buying a problematic car?, i have the registration available

Does it have full history? All cars can be problematic if abused or neglected... If unsure keep searching or buy a warranty policy!

Mainly affects a4 blb engines, not heard of a3's with this prob. Could be wrong tho

I have never heard of any oil pump failures on the a3 chassis. The A3 range of 2.0tdis iirc, doesn't use the stupid balance shaft system/hex bar drive.
