Surely it can't be reasonable to expect anyone to list out the miriad of parts necessary to fit a new head ?

    There must be hundreds !

To swop the head over you need a head gasket, head bolts, cam bolts and injector bolts. The head i have advertised is a 03G 103 373 A . If you click on the following link for SCN where the classified section actually works you can see pictures etc.Standard PD140 BKD head. - SEAT Cupra.net - SEAT Forum

Don't want another suffix a head as all of them crack according to research.
Will any other heads fit? Eg the pd150? Or pd140?

The BKD engine is a PD140. The only other head to fit a BKD PD140 engine is the PD170 head but you need to remove the cams as they are different. Not all A suffix heads cracked and £150 for a pressure tested head compared to £800 + for a new one.

Quite a few 'a' heads cracked

    Very few 'b' heads cracked

    No 'c' heads cracked (yet)

If devonmikeyboy is selling a pressure tested head it doesn't matter what suffix it has, it'll be ok.

And if it isn't I'm sure he'll sort it.

03G 103 373 C suffix is stamped on both the late PD140 heads and the PD170 heads as they are both designed and made the same way.

As you look from the front of the car - right hand side of the engine underneath the fuel pipes.

Obviously you have to remove the cover first !
