i tried looking thinking this would be a route some had gone but couldnt find anything.

ive been offered some 19" Le Mans for a decent price, they have an offset of 48 and are 19 x 8.5 and come with 245/40/19 tyres

my A4 has the 18" S line wheels of the same multi spoke design, and an offset of 43

so i guess for the wheels to fill the arches i would need spacers front and rear as the 19" wheels will sit further in.

has anyone gone this route, if so what size spacers did you use, and where is the best place to get them, and is the tyre size ok

id hate to get these wheels and end up having loads of agro considering my wheels are pretty good with great tyres

as always pictures paint a thousand words

    cheers

Pretty sure they'll fit but would probably look better with a 10-15mm spacer, what width are your current wheels tho?

The tyre size isn't ideal as you should really be looking a 35 profile tyre to retain the same overall diameter, those tyres will make your speed read slightly out.

Inside edge of the new wheels will sit 11mm closer to the inside of the car and will sit 1mm closer to the outer wheel arch than your old wheels.

They will rub without spacers. Particularly with 245 tyres.

I would recommend front spacer of 10mm and rear of 20mm.

Mine are ET43 19x8.5" and I needed a 5mm spacer up front else they would rub on full lock. Before the front spacer I could only just squeeze a finger in between the top suspension arm and the rim.

I'm running the same wheels with 5mm spacers up front and 15mm on the rear. Tyres need to be 235 as mentioned above otherwise you get rubbing on full lock.

    Are yours ET48 or 43?

The original A6 All-Roads were ET48 but they did the same design in the B8 A4 with ET43.

ET48 and off a A6 Le Mans not the Allroad. I believe the B8s have the larger centre bore and spigot rings would be required.
