Has anyone had experience fitting 16" wheels on a 2001 S4. There seems to be enough clearance for the diameter. It will likely come down to the outward face of the caliper that needs clearance. I wonder if any other OEM Audi/VW wheels will fit.

The reason I'm asking is that I want to autocross my S4 and should be able to gain a good amount of acceleration by reducing the overal diameter of the tire/wheel combo. Not to mention reduing rotational mass by using a smaller diameter wheel.

I use 16' Mille Miglia Action Sports on my 2000 S4 for winter use. I have Dunlop Winter sport tires. The narrow tread width provides better snow grip.

I don't need any spacers (not a good idea anyway) and the rolling diameter is stock, so there are no issues whatsoever - even the speedo and odo work correctly.
