Hi guys been offered some banded 16" steels, just wondering if they will go on as I've read some people say the brakes won't alloy them to fit? Has anyone got any info on this? Also any pictures with s3's on banded steels at all? Thankyou

16s will clear the calipers around the rim side, you need to see of the offset will clear the calipers on the face side, where the spokes are on normal alloys.

Thanks Jo Jo, well I'm getting them made to my car. I've been told 16's will be too small and look stupid Aswell as scraping the bottom of my car

16s were the standard fit for snow tyres for wintry climes. But as Joe says, its the offset you need to be careful with.

I run 16" steel wheels on my S3 for about 4 months of the year. They are the standard VW steel wheels and are close to the calipers so just be careful when you are getting the wheels banded that you don't adjust the offset on the inside of the wheel.
