100w bulbs

I know the majority on this forum probably have S3's with xenon, but sadly they are rare, and ridiculously overpriced for what they are here.

Has anyone ever had problems with using 100w bulbs on their A3? I have heard that some cars can handle it, and some dont.

i ran 130/100 h4's in my old corrado with a uprated loom seperate relays etc and they were bright , had to fit the 130 amp alternator as well. truth was it wasn't worth it buy a GOOD set of standard whattage bulbs and fit them , you also need to be careful because the internal plastics melt my internals on the corrado were slivered metal think there plastic on the A3 but i still melted the plug that fitted on the back of the bulb
