1 key in safe mode

hi, changed battery in keyfob-reprogramed the fob so it opens the doors on the button, but car is in safe mode?
the other key is fine.
any ideas? I have not changed fobs so it is the same immo chip.

Hey. Had a quick look look online.

Do you have access to VCDS? Otherwise according to one of the posts turning the non working key to on position 5 times (leave in on position for 10 sec) sorted his key. No harm in trying.

Press & hold the unlock button, insert key in ignition to on still holding the unlock button, hold in the on position for two seconds, turn off ignition, remove key & release button.
