Hi,
I know there are lots of threads regarding starting issues on the 1.9/2.0 pd engines but I haven't found one with the same codes as mine.
It's an 08 plate 1.9tdie. In around April I started having the hot start problem of it taking 3/4 seconds to fire maybe 2/3 times a week. It got more frequent so I got it plugged in. It showed a code for the cam position sensor. I was getting the belt and water pump changed shortly after so I had the sensor done at the same time. Once done the car was taking the 3/4 seconds to start all the time. I have since changed the temperature sensor but with no change. The car was also remapped in July and whilst being done they tried lowering the required rpm of the flywheel for the car to fire, which also made no difference.
The starting time does vary slightly so could it still be down to a sensor due to the variance? Or could it be as simple as the starter motor is on its way out?
