I am sure this has been asked before but with regards to mpg is there much difference with these engines? Has anyone owned both?

If so can you post your experiences

I ran the 1.9TDIe sport for 3 years commuting 130 miles a day and it was pretty impressive - always returning 60+ MPG.

Now running 2.0TDi common rail 8P - still not broken in completely (only 8000 miles in) - returning low 50s MPG.- I feel it will loosen up with age and will probably be very similar to the 1.9 - smoother ride all round and less revving to overtake and get up hills so has to be an improvement...

Another bit of info - did consider the 1.6 TDI CR vs 2.0 but its MPG was atrocious after a test drive and considerably less oomph than the older 1.9 that it replaced in my opinion
