1.9 tdi upgrading brakes

i'm looking at upgrading my brakes on my 2007 a3, to possibly something like the 312mm items.
i know the hubs will need changing etc, would a complete hub and caliper from a 2.0 a3 model be a straight swap?
i could then possibly get a set of carriers at a later date, or does anyone have a better idea as to a car to remove a 312mm kit from and that will fit on my 1.9 a3 tdi ?
only looking for standard stuff, nothing like brembo's etc.
i live close to a few breakers yards so the have several golfs and audis in, i'm just unsure as to what model the parts will be fitted too.

just need to buy bigger caliper carriers for 312 discs . your callipers are the same just change carriers

thanks tdi -man, i thought the calipers were different on the 1.9 to the 2.0 models.
any idea what models have the carriers i'd need. i thought id need complete hubs etc.

as far as I know and vw after 2004 with a 112 pcd mk5 golf etc
