Euro car parts is where you want to be with a promo code midmonth30 which gives 30% off

I just got everything for 52 quid

By the way if your car starts ok I wouldn't bother with glow plugs

does it start first turn without a struggle? if so the glow plugs are fine the lumpyness could be something else light syncro angle out slightly mine was lumpy till i did my cam belt and put my syncro angle to 0

put your reg in to euro car parts it will give you the list of parts

you want 5/30 fully synthetic its about £39 but with the promo code you can get the lot for about 50

You can use any oil in these as autodata says, don't need a specific oil so you can save some money next time round. Mine runs on 10w40 no frills semi synthetic stuff absolutley fine.

I paid about £25 for my pollen, oil and fuel filter

That's not true ! The PD engine requires fully synthetic oil conforming to 505.01 or 507 VW norm, nothing else works in these without wearing the cam lobes and lifters ! I would go for oil to TPS or local VAG dealer, fully syn. 5w40 oil PD spec is about 35 quid for 5 liters...

The cams / lobes wear ,even with fully synthetic oil !!!

B0llocks, why would the cams wear more ? that is just general wear and tear. Auto data says 5w40, 5w30 10w40 moderate temperatures. Audi would say that so you go and buy the expensive stuff, suppose they'd say it needs the low ash stuff too

it's due for servicing soon, give it a couple hundred more miles or so as the car is running oil Bio diesel at the moment for the last 2 weeks, so I'm going to give it chance to clean all the scaling out of the tank into the filter. Then i will change the lot including new 10w40 castrol diesel stuff, could'nt turn it down for a tenner :)
