1.9 tdi head gasket

hello my audi 1.9 tdi is losing water and a lot of white smoke is coming out of the exhaust
think it may be the head gasket?

any tips would be great as i will do the job myself

If you have an EGR cooler it could possibly be that

It's a bit hard to diagnose on that alone, is there any sludge on the oil cap or in the header tank?

no sludge of white stuff on cap or dip stick oil seams ok no smell in header tank
header tank nice and clean
no fault codes have come up on my code reader
engine runs fine no missing sounds ok
