1.9 Tdi ESP icon permantely on dash and also glow plug

Just a quick answer needed

I have a 1.9TDI Sport...and for a few days now the ESP icon on the dash has been constantly displayed and also the Glow plug icon - which am i right in saying its the one that looks like a pair of spectacles..this has been flashing..

Whats required to do?

the only answer m8 is it must be scanned which will give you the fault so in the long run its cheaper than just swopping bits that people will guess is the fault...
sorry it isnt much help but it helps with the guessing game

This sounds familiar. I think I had this and it was the brake light switch needed replacing. Check if your brake lights are working, that'd be another tell-tale sign.

I'm not 100% certain but if it is the brake light switch then it's an easy fix. There's a guide on here somewhere.

Mine did the same about 6months ago, it was the brake switch as mentioned.
