1.8T Rods... do we have the same as golfs etc?

There seems to be a lot of claims out there of what HP epople are running on their 1.8T's...

Does anyone KNOW for sure what rods we have in these motors. The tranverse motors with the <200BHP have really weak rods good for 300lbs/ft - then the 225TT/S3 motors etc have the stronger ones.

Now with the longitudinal motors... there seems to be many kits out there that claim stock itnernals with massive torque... cant be possible unless they have different internals. Anyone shed some light?

yeah its not the rods found in the golf. these are a little bit weaker (A4)

And the massive HP numbers claimed by ATP are inflated. those numbers were not on stock internals. they had everything ported and polished. Titanium valves and spring. two SOLID lifter camshafts. and lowered compression.

but their kit will work on stock internals you just wont get those numbers
