1.8t problem

Ive got a big problem. My car is loosing water fast (2-3days) cont see any dripping or anything.
Could it be headcasket? but i dont have water mixing with oil
Aslo i dont think my fan is working. How long does it take for the fan to kick in and my temp gauge isnt working either
Anyone has silimar problems

If the head gasket has gone, it's not written in stone that water will mix with the oil.

How much water is it losing, full then down enough to put the warning light on?

I would expect that the exhaust would be pumping out a fair amount of white smoke, if the water was going through a cylinder.

No temp indication could be duff clocks or sender.

Inop fan could be the fan controller or temp switch in the radiator.

It's hard to diagnose faults over the internet, far better to take it in somewhere.

Took the car to get checked out and it seems to be the water pump leaking, been quoted £80, is this good price.

I'll say, pump is about £30, £50 labour is a bargain tbh... seems too cheap imo, its not a small job..
