Ok, did mine at the weekend. The MAF didn't look how I expected it to (it was a large cast piece of metal on one side, with a plastic cover on the flip side. There was a small rectangular gel-covered area on the metal side, with a circuit board visible beneath the gel, and at the business end, it had some vanes to guide air past, and what looked like a small detector (again looking like a circuit board) in the centre of the vaned area).
Anyways, I gave it a good spray, let it dry, chucked it back in, and there might be a tiny bit of improvement, but definitely nothing very noticeable.
Performance isn't awful at the moment, but I notice that low-down pick up is poor.
