1.8 tfsi wouldn't go into gear.....

My 8p 1.8 tfsi has been sat for a week. Fired it up to move it into another space today, clutch down, couldn't get it into a gear!!!!

Persisted in pushing it into gear, went into 2nd eventually, and then drove absolutely fine.

any thoughts? clutch dragging? Never had this problem before. I will say I did spend time cleaning under the bonnet, maybe got some water in there, and the plate had some surface rust?

Possibly selector forks in the gearbox.
Has it happened again since?

No it literally just happened.

It was absolutely fine afterwards. Maybe time for a gearbox oil check/change?
