    1.8 20v CRANKSHAFT TORQUE SETTINGS
    Hi there i am new to this forum but was wondering if anyone can help?

    I have just bought my first Audi, an A6 1.8t on a W reg with a blown engine, I am finishing rebuilding my engine but i need the torque settings for the big and main bearing caps on the crankshaft if anyone can help it will be much appreciated.

    On my AEB engine the spec from elsawin says the new!(you must replace them) bolts for the 5 bearing caps should be torqued to 60 Nm + 1/4 turn (90 °) further. What is the your engine code and I'll check to see if it's the same. If you get the haynes manual for the A4 these engines are covered if you want to check the values yourself.
