Same reason why you would put Spider Man wheels on your car. You like it looking weird and out of spec.

Nelius what sort of a plank are you??

You can get the exact same wheels I have on my car with an Audi centre cap on them, from Audi.

After reading your post in my rollers thread too, I'm actually ashamed to say I am from the same country as you.

    I'm sorry but what a co*k.

Seen before, be nice to see a clearer picture as the black (although the best colour in the world) clouds the view of the rear bumper.

please correct me if im wrong, but..
dosent it normally have 2 exhausts ? one each side.

So all thsts been done is 2 of those 1 into 2 chrome tails pipes ( that you buy from Hafords) have been added.

In isolation I think it looks good. As for the fact that its only a 1.6, I agree its a total nonsense trying to make your rather ordinary car look like the sweet handling, high powered sex machine you couldn't actually afford.

But does that really make it any different from the vast numbers here who spend lots of money on spoilers, tinted glass and alloys etc etc when its just a bloody TDi?

And, in the bigger picture, does it really make it any different from people who buy an Audi when they could have a similarly tedious Skoda or Volkswagen for less money?

But you gotta bear in mind not all audi owners or indeed people who join this forum are mad car enthusiasts. Some are happy with a low powered poor handling car as they have no desire to "drive" and as A to B car an Audi "looks" better along the way/parked than a Seat/VW.

Example: My older sis for example sticks to 31mph( /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh_2.gif) no matter how good the roads, a 3.2 would honestly be a waste of money for her as she has no interest in "driving".

Agreed so far as regarding crazy max power types who go overboard but as a car enthusiast I love coming across cars modded with good taste. Coming across an a3 with 19" bbs ch`s makes the road a better place to be no matter what is under the bonnet.

Ref the 1.6 with twin pipes I think if it makes the owner happy then fine. I like to alter my car but hopefully tastefully, I will be adding the S-line tailgate spoiler because I like it and if I were prepared to suffer the first years depreciation I would have specced this on a new car from the factory anyway - IMO majority of mods are ok so long as they are tasteful and weren't bought at Halfords /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
