Wonder if anyone has any pointers on an issue with the wife's A3. We've had random battery drains over the last year were the car would be fine one day, then the next the battery would be drained. I replaced the battery in the summer as I tested the old one with no load (it was low) and then with the engine on so I could check the alternator (this was fine runnig the right voltage across the battery).
However, yesterday, I got a phoecall saying the battery was flat again. To rule out interior lights being left on, they are permenatly turned off, and nothing else appears to be on whilst the engine is off.
So, where do I start with trying to source the issue. Could it be immobiliser / alarm draining the battery, how do I test these ? And as it is random when it will happen what else might it be ?
