1.4 T Flutter/pop

Noticed this morning when the car was defrosting backed up to the garage and i was stood in the garage with a brew and a ciggy by my heater and every 20-25 seconds the engine was giving a little flutter/pop noise down the pipes ??? No sign of hesitation or a miss when driving. Its going well after 6K and returns 48 mpg on a good run but it just sounds a tad strange when lobbing over at low idle.

Anybody else notice this with a 1.4T ??

I haven't noticed mate. I'll check tonight when I get my car back from the detailers.

I wouldn't worry about it. Perhaps take it to the service and ask but I've noticed that the 1.4 is quite loud when ticking over on a cold morning. Perhaps the pipes are expanding? Only a guess...
