Hi guys. I'm curious about a possible technical issue.

On Saturday my Air Bag light lit up and wouldn't go out. I was browsing *a certain electronic manual* for the car and came across entry suggesting the Air Bag Control Unit needed a software update that fixed an over-sensitivity issue.

    Transaction Number: 2021285/4
    Release Date: 19\02\10

Apparently the issue affected A3 & A6 MY2009 w\ SW 090 & SW 140, the revision number for the update is SW 160. I managed to get the light put out with a visit to the local Audi dealer, but they said there has been no such update issued. Which is the reason for my query really, Can anybody shed any light on this, was there a recall for it?

    Thanks All.

Hi Nigel, I didn't get the code, it was wiped by the Audi Tech when he reset the light.

I was more curious as to why they hadn't heard about it.

TBH thats normal, unless you spoke with a tech who has knowledge how to use the online elsa system, you wont get a great answer, service desk staff dont get involved in such things.

Maybe time to invest in VCDS :)

Haha.. If I didn't just pay out for a sat nav, I would have PM'd you already. I'm sure you'll be hearing from me on the matter before Christmas though.

    Thanks anyway Nige.
