Anyone got any ideas, not much on the tinternet about it. Everything seems to work ok on the steering wheel but I am selling the car and wanted to give the buyer a print out of the scan to prove there are no issues.

Any help appreciated peeps

I am new to Audi electronics and even newer to VCDS, so might not be much help - but with Mercedes there were no end of problems with steering column modules.
The problem with the MB ones was that they had to be re-programmed each time various new components elsewhere were fitted eg, radio, angle sensors and the like. So I just wonder if you have anything replaced that might cause the same issue that you could get the module paired with the car again...
The other big issue - and this would go with your message of intermittent communication - was earthing, wiring and ribbon connections, either loose or dirty. Might be worth a try an check all connections in that area.
Hope it might help.
