Hi All,

I have managed to perform a number of fixes recently and all of the errors have disappeared except for one pesky one!!
It is a frequent error and when I clear it, its always beck within a couple of days. You can see from the VCDS that the frequency of this error is high. It does occasionally affect the car by knocking out the remote central locking.
My battery is a brand new one that was bought within the last year and I successfully coded it in.

If anyone could help or has any ideas that would be great!

Have you checked your battery ?

I take it you checked the battery with VCDS?
Have you had any new electrical items fitted?

It is battery related - have you checked the outputs via VCDS. It may well be a new battery, but it could be duff or your alternator may not be charging it sufficiently.
Module 19 - measure blocks 18, 19 and 20. Measure with engine off and engine on.

Energy Management Active means the car is turning systems off in the hope enough power will be available to crank the engine.

I used to get this on my car before I changed the battery. It seems as if the engine management is quite sensitive and most people would not even be aware there is an issue unless they check for faults. If the car is left for a few days standing or has other additional loads on the battery such as accessories this can cause this fault to occur.
If the voltage levels seen in the measuring blocks are good and more so actually measured with a voltmeter I wouldn't worry about it.

I've got this active on my a4 at the moment, will plug it in later and see what my battery is reading on vcds later
