Just did a scan on the S3 as i'm aware something is up the EML & some hesitation uner boost, got the following.

    Chassis Type: 8L - Audi A3/S3
    Scan: 01,02,03,08,15,16,17,22,35,37,45,55,56,57,75,76

    Shop #: WSC 00000
    VCID: 78836BE34BCB

    2 Faults Found:
17522 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor; B1 S2: Internal Resistance too High

16502 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
    P0118 - 35-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent

Can a lamda sensor influence fueling enough to cause hesitation ? or could this be an issue with the MAF ?

    Any help would be great

check your o2 sensors mate.. might be wiring or you might need to replace them ... no other fix comes to mind .. or try to clean then maybe ?
