1 of the canbus wires isn't connected properly or at all, hence single wire error.

Ok thanks, I take it they are the two orange wires (orange/green and orange/brown)?

Ok, checked wiring tonight and all appears to be in order, I connected the two can bus wires to the back of block "G" using Scotch locks, its wired exactly the same as it was on my 2007 A3?

I have attached the below screen shots to try and give you some info, I'm not an expert with VCDS and don't really know how to use it for things like this.

You still convinced it's these two wires into the back of block "G"?

As I said remove scotch locks & test wound around the wires directly, as scotch locks are **** & don't connect very well at times, I never use them.
