17 x 7.5, 5x112, ET45. How will these alloys sit on an A3 SE, stock suspension? What tyre size do I need to go for?

Looking at new alloys for my A3. The ones I like are available in 17" and 18", with the 17" being about £100 cheaper, and tyres being considerably cheaper also. Is 17" too small? Currently running 16" stock suspension.

Does anyone know where to find this design for the alloys? 7jx16h2 16”

As per title, my driver's side front wheel is sitting noticeably further in than the offside front wheel. I always park my car facing down the road so the passenger side is next to the kerb, and when I walk up to it from that side I can see from afar that the front wheel is very close to flush...
