    "Try to push unneeded work"
    Pros - My closed dealer
    Cons - Expensive
    Try to push service items early
    Had a full inspection service yesterday.

    Tried to push me into the following additonal work early:

    1) S-Tronic gearbox oil change - due at 36000, my car has done 28000. Why suggest that this is 30% early! Quotes >£200 + vat
    2) Brake pads 70% worn - Suggested to change now, why change with 30% left - Quoted >£300 + vat - Very expensive for pads!
    3) 2 tyres at 3.5mm suggested to change. Why change with double legal limit! - Quotes £280 each - over £100 each more than I paid for the lat set.

    Car was "cleaned" by not very well, I think it must have been done by a child as they obviouly couldn't reach the roof! If this an indication of the level of work they carry out I worry about the quality of the rest of the service.

    Will be going to either a different dealer or independant for next service

    "Overly expensive"
    Cons - VERY expensive!
    I took my car in to investigate warning lights for esp and emission control light. Emission control was a faulty throttle body. They wanted 600 quid to fit a throttle body (Cost of part 150 quid (that is to me, not even trade price). 15 minute job, which I didn't proceed with there. They charged me 160 quid to check some fault codes and reset the esp, which is ott in my opinion. I will never take my car back there again.
